The largest mine museum in France.

The Mining Historical Center, the largest mining museum in France, offers the public to dive into the universe of the mine through seven major thematic exhibitions recounting the daily life of the miner and his family, the history of mining coal or the place of recreation in the cities. The public will also be able to go down to the heart of the mine thanks to a guided tour of the underground galleries, punctuated by the roaring machines and attend a meeting-testimony with a former miner to complete his discovery of the mining culture.

The Minier Historical Center offers many services: a brasserie restaurant "Le Briquet", a shop-café area, a documentation center (on reservation), an auditorium etc.
