Climb aboard and let yourself be led by guides who love the mine, railway and postal service. Their stories and testimonies will transport you through the industrial history of Nord Pas de Calais.

The Friends of Mine traces the history of coal mining through an exhibition rich archives, photographs and artifacts of child labor. In the darkness and noise, you will be guided in the animated galleries.

The Centre for Mine and Railway (CMCF), formed in 1990, produces extraordinary animated models and circuits, traversed by trains of all sizes. Many of them actually work with steam, making a living tribute to the monsters of steel, like the Great Pacific Northwest, built the legend of the railway. Weighing over 130 tons, this machine is being restored in the workshops of CMCF by a team of amateur volunteers. The CMCF is a partner of the Cité du Train in Mulhouse.

In the middle of the site, the Association for the Conservation of Railway Postal Wanderers (ACAPF) in six real cars postal kept, how taking place until 1995, sorting mail in specialized wagons en route and various collections relating to the mission of the post in the world.
